Do I need to schedule an appointment or can I do a walk-in?
Appointments are recommended however we welcome walk-in clients depending on the availability of our tattoo artists. Walk-ins are all based on “first come, first serve basis” so if you wish to do a walk-in appointment, please be there once we open so that you can reserve a tattoo spot for that day.
How do I make an appointment?
3 ways to assist you. You can call 808-778-5709 or just come on over and visit us or send us an online message. You can also dictate if there's an artist you would love to work with. Even if you live Off Island we'll still love to work with you on any questions you may have all the way up to the date of your appointment!
Is there a deposit needed?
Deposits are needed for (2) reasons. For sketching ideas for you and to also hold your appointment as well. It is $50 dollars for any of our artists to draw up sketches for you. If you already have a sketch or design you want, then there is no need for a deposit. Please bring printed copies of any reference material you may have. It is cash only if you are booking an appointment for a NEW TATTOO WORK regardless if you are a returning client. The placement deposit is $50. This amount will be deducted from the final price of the tattoo and if you are doing multi-session tattoos, it will come off the price of the final session.

18 is the youngest legal age to get a tattoo with out any parental/guardian permission. If you are under the age of 18 you must be accompanied by your parent/guardian to sign and give permission for our services to be given. Regardless of age, IF NO ID, NO TATTOO!!!

How much will my tattoo cost?
Price quotes will be determined depending on the type of work, placement and size of your tattoo. We apologize for the inconvenience but we try not to give price quotes via email or telephone. The reason for this is because your picture doesn't give an accurate showing of the size of area to be worked on. It is recommended to consult with an artist in person to get an estimated price quote. Our shop minimum is $80. If you have a price range you wish to stick within, please notify us and we can also work within your price range. It is also recommended that we do hourly work that way we are not overcharging and that the pricing is fair. For services, pricing start up to $100/hr for a tattoo session and $150 an hour for cover-ups. Multiple sessions may be recommended or requested if you wish to invest in quality work. For larger pieces are usually 4-6 hours long and can be scheduled as far apart as you like, so that the cost of the tattoo is spread out over time. “Quality art is not cheap, cheap is not quality” This is an investment because it is the only thing that will stay on you forever!

Aftercare:
We take the highest precaution to make sure that your tattoo is done in a safe and sterile environment. We also go the extra mile by providing aftercare instructions and aftercare ointment for your convenience. Anything that happens once you leave the shop; INDEPENDENT INK is not responsible for any negligence on your part in the after care of your tattoo.
